Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has sprung here in Virginia so I thought I would celebrate with some of my lucite flower and Swarovski Crystal designs.

Great summer colors in pinks, purples, teal, moss green, peach, red and many more. I loaded up this silver tone chain with tons of flowers, each one centered with a Swarovski Crystal, that will look great on anyone's wrist. I added a Bali silver clasp and the bracelet it adjustable.

$38

I loaded down this lovely silver chain with tons of glass bead clusters, intermingles with Lucite Flowers. Each bead is wire wrapped and loaded onto a jump ring to form a little colorful cluster. Tons of colors allow you to wear this with so many outfits. This necklace is adjustable and finished with a Bali Silver clasp. It measures 19 inches at its fullest, but again, it is adjustable for various necklines.

$42

A simple calla lily with a Swarovski Crystal nestled in the center dangles from a sterling silver necklace. A Bali silver lobster claw makes this necklace adjustable.

This lucite flower has six petals in colors of reddish and purple highlighted with a sparkling Swarovski crystal. The sepal part of the flower is framed with an antique brass flower bead cap. This dangles from a pair of antiqued brass ear wires.

$10

Great summer colors dress up this lovely sterling silver chain necklace with seven flowers, each one centered with a Swarovski crystal. I added a Bali silver clasp which makes this necklace adjustable. Will look great with a pair of Lucite flower earrings.

A Few Funky Pieces

Trying to get a few designs out of my system in between orders.  I have been so blessed this year with all the support and customers.  Custom Orders are fun and are a big part of my business but sometimes, you just got to get some things out of your system.  Here are a few of them.  Let me know what you think and remember, they can be yours also!  Just let me know.

Teal Blue Sky Necklace

This funky necklace design has great turquoise colors in light and dark hues accented with silver. This is a must have for the spring and summer. Adjustable for any neckline with a Bali Silver clasp to finish it off. $28

Tuxedo Necklace
Silver and black beads make up the funky design. The pictures just can't do the beads justice. Adjustable for any neckline, dress it up or down, it will go great with your outfits. $28

Waves Necklace
The different hues in these blue beads shimmer and shine and highlite the black strategically placed alongside. This necklace is adjustable for your neckline and finished with a Bali silver clasp. $28

Marine Necklace
Silver, green and shimmery hues of color create this design. A great piece for spring/summer and one of the featured colors of 2012. Adjustable neckline and finished with a Bali Silver clasp. $28

decisions for the new year?

I am really interested in branching out more in my jewelry designs...this scares me on several levels.  first, I don't know what I am doing.  I really am interested in working with leather (will show you a little more about that below).

Second, I really really love artisan silver.  This is handmade sterling silver.  It cost a lot more than I every invest in or use to make my designs.  The upfront cost is high (secret, shhhhh, I already invested a little, ok, maybe a little more than a little).  But, will customers buy?  The cost of my designs will have to go up and I don't really like that.  This is the major scarey part!

Third, can i do it?  I know practically nothing about working with leather.  Is there an interest out there?  Who knows.  Should I find out?

Ok, here is my first piece. Don't be too critical but do let me know your thoughts.  Not just about this design but also about what I wrote about.  Thanks for your input!

I used 3mm black leather with a beautiful scrolled silver focal point on the center piece.  I used large hole silver beads on either side of the focal piece that can slide from end to end, giving a free floating feel.  Tibetan Silver end caps hold the leather together with large hammered silver toggles.  ok, now, what do you think?

Glass Pearl Bracelet

Pastel glass pearls create a lovely bracelet. The silver beads mingle among the spring colored pearls for an accent.  $14
